Accessibility at Sova
Sova is an everyday planner for iPhone, built to be usable by as many people as possible. This page describes what the app does with iPhone accessibility features, honestly, and how to tell us when something does not work for you.
What the app supports
- VoiceOver — core flows (Today, Notes, Calendar, Create, groups) carry labels and hints, and every interactive element has an accessibility identifier. We run device passes with VoiceOver before releases.
- Dynamic Type — layouts adapt to larger text sizes, including the extra-large accessibility sizes, without horizontal scrolling on main surfaces.
- Reduce Motion — animations and parallax are replaced with calm, static transitions when Reduce Motion is on.
- Increase Contrast and readability — the palette keeps strong contrast between ink and surface; text is never the only carrier of meaning (icons always pair with labels or hints).
- Touch targets — controls meet a minimum comfortable hit size throughout.
Privacy and processing
Speech features (dictation) run on-device, so they work without a network and without sending audio anywhere. Screenshot scanning happens only on demand, with the result shown for review before anything is saved.
Known limits
Accessibility is ongoing work. Some secondary surfaces may still lag behind the core flows, and we fix those as we find them rather than claim otherwise.
